Lutheran World Relief School Kits

A LWR school kit may provide the only supplies for children returning to school after the disruption of war. School kits help parents continue their children’s education, even while living in a refugee camp, for example. A school kit may also be used in adult literacy classes. Stephen P. Rapp, Director of Music

Stephen Rapp is Director of Music at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Before assuming this position in 1992, he held church positions at Christ's Church (Episcopal), Rye, New York and at St. Paul’s Church on the Green (Episcopal) in Norwalk. Dr. Rapp’s concert appearances as organist and harpsichordist have taken him throughout the eastern United States, Europe and Japan. He is a frequent accompanist and continuo player for numerous ensembles and soloists. He has led workshops for the American Guild of Organists and for Lutheran churches.

Dr. Rapp holds a Bachelors Degree of Music and Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music. He also holds a Masters Degree of Music and Doctorate of Music from Yale University.
