Tuna Drive

As we do each year, the Sunday School will be collecting cans of tuna in each class during the first four Sundays in January (1/3,1/10,1/17,1/24). The class that collects the most cans by the end of the month will be treated to breakfast on Christian Ed during Sunday School on February 7th. All of the tuna will be donated to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. Last year we collected around 1,200 cans of tuna!

Stephen P. Rapp, Director of Music

Stephen Rapp is Director of Music at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Before assuming this position in 1992, he held church positions at Christ's Church (Episcopal), Rye, New York and at St. Paul’s Church on the Green (Episcopal) in Norwalk. Dr. Rapp’s concert appearances as organist and harpsichordist have taken him throughout the eastern United States, Europe and Japan. He is a frequent accompanist and continuo player for numerous ensembles and soloists. He has led workshops for the American Guild of Organists and for Lutheran churches.

Dr. Rapp holds a Bachelors Degree of Music and Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music. He also holds a Masters Degree of Music and Doctorate of Music from Yale University.
