Tuna Drive
As we do each year, the Sunday School will be collecting cans of tuna in each class during the Sundays in January. The class that collects the most cans by the end of the month will be treated to breakfast on Christian Ed during Sunday School on February 5th. All of the tuna will be donated to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. Last year we collected around 1,200 cans of tuna.

Midnight Run
Thank you to everyone who helped to make the Midnight Run on November 18th a great mission of service and sharing of love to those less fortunate. "For I was hungry and you gave food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.. "

Thanksgiving Baskets
Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual Thanksgiving Basket drive. St. John’s filled 94 baskets for the needy. Many local families will enjoy a wonderful holiday!

Mardi Gras
Many thanks to all who worked so hard to make the youth's Mardi Gras Party on March 6 such a huge success! And thank you to all who came out to support the youth as they begin preparing for the 2012 National Youth Gathering! Thanks to your support, we were able to add $1,429 to the Youth Gathering Fund!

Habitat for Humanity
St. John's members helped with the Habitat for Humanity house building project on Friday evening, December 10 and all-day Saturday, December 11. Despite the cold weather, members came out in full force to help this great project.

Picnic Tables
Thank you! Please take note of how great our picnic tables are looking! Thank you to Mark and Mary Lupo for refurbishing (rebuilding) our picnic tables which were very much in need of help. Thank you also to the church members who contributed funds for the supplies. St. John’s is blessed with a giving congregation.

Processional Banners
The beautiful red processional banners used on Pentecost Sunday were created by Marietta Meyer, Sally Olson and Greta Schneider, who spent many hours lending their creativity and sewing skills to add beauty to our worship. They will also be creating a pair of white and gold festival banners! Thank you, thank you!
