Thomas Williford, Director of Music
Thomas Williford, a native of Atlanta, GA, started at St. John’s Lutheran as the Director of Music in 2016. He is a graduate of Yale School of Music and the Institute of Sacred Music where he completed the Master of Music Degree as a student of Martin Jean. While studying at Yale, he served concurrently as Organist and Choirmaster of the Episcopal Church at Yale and Organist of the University Church in Yale. Thomas completed his undergraduate studies at Mercer University as a student of Jack Mitchener and the late Robert Parris while serving also as Director of Music and Organist of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Macon, GA. He is active as a recitalist and choral accompanist having performed in venues across the Southeastern United States. Thomas oversees the music program at St. John’s, directs the St. John’s Choir, plans worship, and plays at all services of worship.
